Lot and Inventory Information - Easy to order via preformatted Email or Shopping Cart.
PRIMACYT is one of the pioneers in the development of advanced in vitro model systems. We are a leading Company in the field of research of human and animal hepatocytes. We offer fresh and cryopreserved animal hepatocytes in suspension and plated.

Fertig!
Congratulation! You have successfully completed all steps.
    Overview
Chicken hepatocyte cultures have been used to study lipid metabolism and food additives that may facilitate and improve chicken growth, animal production, and carcass traits. In recent years, chicken hepatocytes in co-cultures with non-parenchymal liver cells (Kupffer cells) also became an essential tool for investigating environmental stress factors like heat stress and mycotoxins in food and feed safety studies.
    Our Competencies
PRIMACYT is approved by the European Commission as an EU Reference Laboratory for Alternatives to Animal Testing (EURL ECVAM) and serves as a member of the laboratory network responsible for the method validation.

Our colleagues are professionals and undergo continuous training in the preparation, isolation, and cryopreservation of hepatocytes, including related co-products, methods, and tools. We have been a GLP-certified laboratory since 2006.

    Our offering
PRIMACYT offers certified cryopreserved chicken hepatocytes from pooled and single donors. Pooled hepatocytes are obtained from several individual animal liver perfusions performed in parallel. After quality control, a pool of equal numbers of viable liver cells from each donor is cryopreserved.

Each pool and the individual single donors are comprehensively tested for viability, plate-ability, Cytochrome P450/Phase I and Phase II activities to ensure that all donors are represented equally within the pool.

More recently, in vitro studies have demonstrated that hepatocytes, microsomes, and hepatic S9 fractions are effective and efficient tools to predict the in vivo endpoint for biotransformation and accumulation testing.

Animals like chicken have been used in vivo by researchers for decades to assess bioaccumulation, metabolism, and environmental risk of chemicals, including drugs, xenobiotics, cosmetics, fragrances, flavouring substances, herbicides and crop protection products.

Our colleagues are professionals and undergo continuous training in the preparation, isolation and cryopreservation of hepatocytes in general, including related co-products, methods and tools. We are a GLP certified laboratory since 2006.
